Other Genealogy Blogs…
I’ve been spending the last few days searching through other genealogy blogs and have been very happy with what I’ve found. I’m not talking about the normal, larger blogs like Eastman’s or Myrtle’s. While Mr. Eastman and Dear Myrtle are both absolutely amazing people with an obvious talent, the smaller blogs can be just as informative and interesting. They’re also harder to find. Here are a few I’ve found:
While at Jessica’s GenJournal I was asked to take a blog addiction quiz:
72%
I guess I’m pretty addicted to blogging! Considering that I’m trying to type with a sleeping child in my lap right now, I would have to agree….
I took a look at some great old family bibles at Family Bibles. Wouldn’t it be great to have one of these for every line in your family tree?!
I found many databases and websites by looking through Genealogy Roots Blog.
A few others I’ve been reading:
- Blog Some Genealogy
- GeneaBlogie
- Only In Genealogy - Quite funny
I hope everyone takes a few minutes to check out the smaller blogs…just remember, it isn’t that they’re not important, they’re just not as well known.

I found your site on google blog search and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. Just added your RSS feed to my feed reader. Look forward to reading more from you.

Thanks for the plug for my “Only in Genealogy” blog! It was dying a slow death but I decided to try to resurrect it. I’m always on the lookout for new stories on the humorous or heart-touching side of genealogy, and welcome “submissions” from others, so if you have anything to add, just email me at omchodoy-at-comcast-dot-net.
