A Beautiful Family
While on vacation I love to visit flea markets, junk stores and yard sales. Last summer while visiting Oklahoma was no exception. We found a little town with a few antique stores and I couldn’t help myself.
I walked in to a very large building filled with antiques; old chairs, clothing, toys and so much more. I sure wish I was rich…I would have a house full of antiques, many bought from that very store!
I reached the back of the store and I saw what appeared to be an old silverware box…wooden with a little handle on it. I opened it to find many pictures, a couple with names on them. There was also a marriage certificate!
The marriage certificate is for Frank Bednar to Barbara Kronek in Linn County, Iowa. This is the actual Marriage Certificate, it isn’t a copy.
When we arrived home from our trip, I proceeded to search on-line for the family. I found that They lived in Cedar Rapids Iowa. They did have children, and by 1920 Mr. Frank Bednar had passed away.
If anyone reading my blog has any ideas on finding this family I would appreciate it. I would love to get these items back to the family.
This is Mr. Frank Bednar on the right. He was very handsome, and all of his photographs deserve to be with family.
I’ll write again soon about all of the others pictures…I believe everyone in all of the pictures are related, as there is a striking resemblance, especially among the men.
